Many of Kerrville’s visitors already know that the region has much to offer in the way of year-round activities. However, what comes as a surprise to many of our guests is the prolific wildlife living right here at the Y.O. Ranch. Located on over 10,000 acres, the ranch has become a haven for many species of wildlife, some of which are extinct in their native homes, as well as many that are considered critically endangered. We offer our guests the opportunity to view and photograph these animals during one of our daily wildlife tours.

Also, we’re mighty proud of the fact that the ranch’s animal population was increased by one on April 27, 2019, when mother giraffe Bella gave birth to a beautiful female calf. This is particularly satisfying, as giraffes have declined around 80% for the past 15 years. Fortunately, we were able to record this precious phenomenon, and have uploaded it to our YouTube channel, where it is available for everyone to watch.
